This App Tells You What to Cook Based on What's Already in Your Fridge

You open the fridge. You stare. Nothing clicks. You close it and order takeout. There's a better way.

You open the fridge. You stare at it for a full minute. Nothing clicks. You close it and order takeout instead.

Sound familiar?

It's not that you don't have food. You do. There's stuff in there. But turning "random stuff" into "an actual meal" takes mental energy you don't always have — especially after a long day.

That's exactly why I built Recimind.

Here's how it works

You open the app and take a photo of your fridge, your counter, or whatever ingredients you have out. That's it. The AI looks at the photo, figures out what food is there, and generates a personalized recipe based on what you actually have.

No searching. No typing in ingredients one by one. No scrolling through 200 recipes that all require three things you don't have. Just: take photo, get recipe.

You can also tell it what kind of meal you want — breakfast, lunch, dinner, or a snack — how much time you have, and any special requests like "no dairy" or "something spicy." It factors all of that in.

At the end, it even shows you a photo of what the finished dish should look like. You can see how it works step by step here.

Why does this matter

Two big reasons.

The first is food waste. Most people throw away more food than they realize — not because they're careless, but because they forget what they have, or they can't figure out how to use the random things left at the end of the week. Recimind is great for that "use up what's left before the weekend" moment.

The second is decision fatigue. Figuring out what to cook is a small but real daily stressor. Having someone (or something) just tell you takes that off your plate — no pun intended.

Three simple steps: scan, set preferences, get your recipe

The app works in Norwegian and English, and it's designed to be used one-handed, on your phone, standing in front of the fridge.

Because that's exactly where you'll be when you need it. Try Recimind for free.
